Sree Kerala Varma College requests your wholehearted help and support in making "Chitrathoni" a resounding success. This is a fund raiser for the flood victims by way of the sale of creative paintings of about twenty renowned artists. Comprising of three phases, Chitrathoni was organised as a part of the noble endeavour , "Support flood affected Keralavarmans".

   Phase I of Chitrathoni was held on 29 September 2018 and it saw the convergence of the following famous artists, who brought out their creative best, in the lawns of Sree Kerala Varma College: Satyapal, K.U.Krishnakumar, Premji T.P.,Anita T.K., Anto George, Martin O. C., Jibu P.B., E.N.Santhi, Jayasree P.G, Smija, Aparna and Jyohi Raj.

   Phase II of Chitrathoni was conducted on 11 October 2018 in collaboration with a group of mural painters from Guruvayur Devaswom under the leadership of Sri. K.U. Krishna Kumar.This enthusiastic group of artists showcased their fine art of skill as well as creative excellence to produce a variety of excellent mural paintings on canvas.

   The alumni association of students who studied in the college in the 1980s, "Pulse 80", also joined hands in contributing to Chitrathoni. The president Smt. K.R. Beena and other office bearers handed over a set of paintings to the principal, Dr. Krishnakumari K.

   Phase III of Chithrathoni was an axhibition cum sale of all these paintings held on 22, 23 and 24 October 2018 at Kerala Sahitya Academy, Thrissur. Famous music director Sri Mohan Sitara inaugurated the programme on 22nd and poet Sri Balachandran Chullikkad inaugurated the closing ceremony on 24th.
